On Friday, February 7, students in the EKU Online Fire, Arson & Explosion Investigation degree program had the opportunity to come to the Richmond, KY campus to participate in supervised fire investigation exercises. Students constructed miniature houses in a quarter box with simple ventilation systems.

Dr. Jamie McAllister is an adjunct professor at EKU who teaches “Fire Behavior and Combustion.” She also serves as fire protection engineer for the National Institute of Standards and Technology and consulting engineer for Combustion Science & Engineering, Inc.

Assistant Professor Tony Cole has 26 years of experience in fire protection ranging from firefighting to engineering and design. Prior to that, he was a Senior Fire Protection Engineer with the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
