Student Spotlight: Thomas M. Sing
Thomas M. Sing, Fire, Arson & Explosion Investigation (Boerne, TX)
What do you like about the program?
My experience at EKU has exceeded any other school or program I have been a part of. Being able to apply the information learned and implement it in the field has made the retention of the information second nature. The professors are all highly experienced and excel at passing their knowledge down to the students. I couldn't be happier with the program.
Why did you choose EKU?
I chose EKU for three reasons. It's reputation as the premier college for fire investigation related degrees. Challenging programs that require intelligent thought. And finally because it is offered online, but there is not a decrease in the quality of the education.
What sets EKU apart?
I do not know of another program of this kind out there, period. But the program is handled as if there is competition everywhere. From the professors to the advisors, everyone I've come into contact with has been exceptional.
How will this degree help you reach your future career goals?
The curriculum provided through FAEI and FPET are in line with NFPA 1033. Any student who graduates from either program will have no issue qualifying as an expert.
